Its not carbon; its not aluminum; its not titanium…. its Steel. Its a custom built bike with SNS couplers made to travel the globe and fit nicely into a small suitcase. It will not be the lightest bike out there but it will ride and look like a classic.
I am looking forward to having it built and testing it out on a Jemison Cycling Tours ride.
I’m getting excited to ride my new custom bike. I was able to work with the builder to come up with a geometry that would be hard to find in a bike off of the shelf. Here are a few pictures of the progress.
Check out the SNS Couplers. Now I will have a “travel” bike when I fly.
Now I need to decide on a paint scheme. What color should I choose? There is even an option for a metal coating; copper! other ??
Once the bike if finished and I get it out on the road for a ride test I will come back here and give a review of its performance. Being able to tweak the geometry to my riding style is something I have never been able to do until this point. More later….
